The 11th Cody’s Challenge is just over a week away! We will be announcing the recipients of our Ski Patroller Scholarships of 2019 during our awards ceremony in front of Slopeside Grill at Steamboat Resort.
Each year nearly 200 racers come out and compete in an extremely challenging Ski Mountaineering Race, part of the COSMIC Series and the largest event of it’s kind in Colorado! The race itself is something to get excited about, but the cause that created it, is what spreads hope and inspiration.
Cody’s Challenge is our way of honoring Cody St. John.
A close friend of Cody said, “Words are not powerful enough to describe the light that Cody shines on the people who are blessed enough to know him. His love, integrity, and positive, inspirational influence cannot be expressed in words. We all aspire to be more like Cody.“
Before he passed too soon, Cody, as a snowboarder elevated the profession of Ski Patrolling and touched everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Eleven years later, we come together once again to honor this amazing human. We remember the man that had a zest for life, like no other, and we raise as much funding as possible to give to people, like Cody, who want to make a difference in this world.
