The mission of our foundation is to assist professional ski patrollers in furthering their medical education and training by granting meaningful scholarships to qualified applicants.

Once again we are please to announce the next Cody’s Challenge at Steamboat!

Cody’s Challenge

The 18th Challenge is coming in just 26 days on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 at Steamboat Resort in Steamboat Springs, CO.

Cody’s Challenge is for everyone, from the professional racer to the first timer. We encourage everyone and anyone to participate in what we think is the coolest race-for-a-cause in Colorado! All proceeds go directly to The Cody St. john Memorial Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to Professional Ski Patrollers for continuing medical education.

Registration for the race will be available some time in the near future. Once our friends at MAD Racing have their end of things ready for registration we’ll let you know. Until then let us know how you’re training, tag us on Instagram

Recent News

We’ve got some really exciting news since our last update and that’s not just that the 18th Cody’s Challenge is coming up on April, 4th.

We’ve fostered 2 new partnerships since the last challenge.

• We’ve established a partnership with the National Ski Patrol and Responder Alliance and are funding a program to help patrollers deal with the traumas they’ve encountered on the mountain.
• Online Scholarship Application
• Advent Health has once again made a generous donation to the foundation to help us continue to further medical education and training for ski patrollers!
