The essay portion of this application form is how we really get to know who you are as a person in our world today. It’s an important part of our selection process each year since we do not get the opportunity to meet in person, so please put some time into your essay and leave it all on paper. It would also be prudent for you to read about the Foundation and the work we do to support Ski Patrollers, who Cody was, and our current missions.

The length of the essay is at your discretion, just be sure
that you have given a complete response to the topic of your choice.

While going through Cody’s belongings, Cody’s sister found a drawing he made, which now serves as the logo and mantra for his foundation. The drawing was of a tree with a heart at its base and he wrote, “Let Us Fortunate Ones Live the Good Life.” Write about what this statement means to you personally. Do you aspire to share this sort of philosophy with the world? How?
