Scholarships for Ski Patrollers
For ten years now we’ve awarded scholarships to ski patrollers to help further their medical education, as well as providing awards to a resort’s patrol facilities to purchase equipment and group training.
This year our foundation received eleven scholarship applications from ski patrollers all around the country, including our first Maine based applicant from Sunday River! We also received applications from patrollers at Steamboat, Monarch, Deer Valley, Aspen Snowmass, and Copper Mountain.
This weekend our scholarship committee will be reviewing the applications and then announcing the recipients for 2018 at the 10th Cody’s Challenge, in just under 30 days from now!
On April 7th, 2018, just four Saturdays from today, Steamboat will once again host the annual Cody’s Challenge, an exciting ski mountaineering race! We are looking forward to another awesome day on the mountain, celebrating life and honoring the life of Cody!
