Only 30 Days to Cody’s Challenge
There are now only 30 days till the 8th Cody’s Challenge, unbelievable; where has the year gone? The Cody St. John Foundation members and friends are gearing up to return to our favorite little ski town and resort, Steamboat Springs to put on our best event yet. We’ve been humbled and inspired by everyone’s support as well as our growth each and every year. As always we are looking forward to another fantastic day on the mountain in honor of Cody and to support ski patrollers around the country!
Once again we are excited to be a stop on the COSMIC Series tour, check out their upcoming race The Five Peaks in Breckenridge this weekend!
The Colorado Ski Mountaineer Cup is a series to promote competitive ski mountaineering racing in the Rocky Mountains and beyond. Each race is designed for all levels with the idea to bring out the best in each participant. We look forward to seeing you on the snow!
We currently have 22 racers registered early, so far we have only 5 new participants, with ages ranging from 16 to 52, occupations such as engineer, attorney, a couple doctors, a chemist, a police officer, one patroller, a student and even one “party animal!”
We told you this race was for everyone!
This year we have received 8 applications for a scholarship reward. We will be evaluating the applicants in the coming weeks and announcing the winners at the awards ceremony following the race! That’s about all the news we have for now, can’t wait to see everyone at the event!
